The Beautiful Game Master Post

A/N: Here is The Beautiful Game Parts I to VIII. Also included are ‘Background Info’ for anyone who needs more information about football/soccer as I have assumed a fan’s level of knowledge. I really, really enjoyed it :), it was an amazing story, with everything in it, you got the soccer just right, Merlin and Arthur perfectly and I loved how they are going to be able to play together in the next cup ;)

This is amazing. I have to say that the most amazing thing about this whole thing is that it's so good, you actually got me interested in football. Before, I couldn't stand the thought of watching it. Now I'd be happy to.

This was fabulous! Loved reading it as a Merlin fan, as a Man U fan and as an England fan, but also for the story itself. Such a great job bringing the characters and the relationships from the show into modern times, and into a situation that would never have occurred to me, but worked so well. Very well done!

I nearly died when I saw the title, and then realized through the summary that the title references exactly what I hoped it would reference. And GAWAIN ROONEY? FUCK YES.

I know I'm a bit late to the party here, but I had to take a minute to tell you how great this was. It started out good, even though I could not picture Arthur or Merlin as footballers before. But, by the time you were describing that first match I was hooked. It was so spot on that I was even holding my breath at some points.

I love the fact that you included all the background info, because even though I adore football, I'm stuck in the middle of the US where I'm lucky to catch one match that isn't MLS a month. I loved the chance to learn more about the EPL and the teams. You could tell how much you liked the game just reading the fic and that info.

I haven't even checked to see yet, but I'm hoping that you've written some other fics, or if not I really hope you consider doing so in the future.
